Services in light of Covid-19

In light of President Trump’s most recent announcements, our Oklahoma Governor’s press conference message this afternoon, and the things the other speakers said following his “message,” I have decided that it would not be best or right for us to have our regular church services this Wednesday night and this Sunday morning and evening.  We have a biblical responsibility to honor our government leaders and follow their leadership when we can (Rom. 13:1ff); to have and display a genuine love for each other and people all around us; and to have a good testimony especially to those who observe how Christians and “the church” respond in situations like this.
Regarding Wednesday night, I would encourage you to set aside time to read God’s Word and pray–as an individual, couple, or family.  It might be a good idea to set aside 7:00-8:00 P.M. to do this.  It will be an encouragement to me just to know that, even though we are not all in the same place, we are all in the same Word of God and praying to the God of the Word as a church family.  Let me suggest you read Philippians 2 and discuss this wonderful chapter before you pray.
On Sunday morning and evening we will be bring our “services” to you on Facebook Live–at regular church service times (10:30 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.).  Either Evangelist Ron DeGarde or I will bring the message.  after we have……well you will just have to watch to see and hear!
We will make further announcements as the days ahead unfold.  Of course this is a time for absolute trust in our Lord and His promises and for earnest prayer.  Let’s not forget Ps. 50:15.
